Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I credit much of my success to my first boss, Shelly Azen, who gave me my very first opportunity and continues to mentor me to this day. Her belief in me was foundational to my career. I’ve also learned that networking is just as vital — building meaningful connections has opened doors and created pathways I never could have anticipated. One of my proudest achievements remains becoming a Vice President in my twenties, a milestone that affirmed both my hard work and the value of strong mentorship and relationships.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received was simple yet powerful: “You belong in the room where you’re sitting.” It’s a reminder to trust in my abilities, own my accomplishments, and not question whether I’ve earned my place at the table. That mindset shift has helped me step into leadership roles with confidence and clarity.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women is to prioritize finding a mentor, joining professional organizations, and investing in their own professional development. Building strong connections and continuously learning creates opportunities, fosters growth, and helps you navigate challenges with support and confidence.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced is working in largely male-dominated industries. While several sponsors over the years have helped shape my resilience and confidence, it has also required me to continually advocate for my voice and perspective at the table. Over time, this challenge has fueled my passion for helping other women navigate similar spaces and build their own confidence in leadership roles.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Giving back is central to who I am, particularly in supporting LGBTQ organizations and broader humanitarian groups, especially support for our veterans. I believe leadership isn’t just about what we achieve professionally but also about the positive impact we leave on our communities. This commitment to inclusivity and service guides how I show up both in my career and personal life.
